The Clinical Counseling Intern role is based in Toledo, OH, with patient services provided at Zepf locations or, as appropriate, in patients’ natural environments. The internship is unpaid; students receive college credit. Zepf Center provides behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio. Under clinical supervision, the intern provides structured, time-limited interventions for patients seeking behavioral health treatment or crisis intervention. The work supports patient care through therapy, assessments, treatment planning, documentation, safety planning, and coordination with the treatment team.

What you'll do

• Provide clinical interventions under the supervision of a clinical supervisor holding an independent license in the student’s licensing field
• may provide crisis intervention and group therapy
• provide individual therapy
• maintain diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, transfer and discharge summaries, screenings, assessments, and safety plans
• complete required training
• participate in team meetings as available
• consult and collaborate with the patient’s treatment team.
