Childcare Lead Teacher

The Childcare Lead Teacher role is onsite in Greer, SC, with compensation of $13–$18 per hour. Minds in Motion Academy incorporates mindfulness and conflict resolution into its curriculum, communication, and discipline. The lead teacher provides developmentally appropriate activities in a nurturing classroom, follows the center’s curriculum and daily schedule, and maintains a safe, clean environment. The role also communicates with families and staff, maintains student-to-staff ratios, and completes required training.

What you'll do

• Interact with children using developmentally appropriate practices
• prepare weekly lesson plans aligned with the center’s curriculum
• manage the classroom
• arrange a safe and inviting room
• keep the classroom clean and sanitize toys daily
• follow the daily schedule and center policies
• inform directors of parent or student concerns
• maintain student-to-staff ratios
• attend ongoing training
• obtain CPR certification within 90 days
• complete a 15-hour health and safety course within 30 days and 15 hours of annual training.

Why this role

Available shifts include 7 a.m.–4 p.m., 8 a.m.–5 p.m., 9 a.m.–6 p.m., and 2 p.m.–6 p.m. for afterschool classes. A high school diploma is required; prior childcare or education experience is preferred, and the employer is willing to train. CPR certification is required within 90 days of hire.
