The Part-Time Medical Coding and Billing Specialist role is onsite in Rensselaer, NY. What you'll do

• Review invoices and patient charges, including CPT codes, for accuracy
• verify billed services are supported by documentation and correctly coded
• coordinate with providers, billers, facility medical offices, the Bureau of Health Services, and Accounts Payable to resolve questions
• track provider agreements and fee schedules
• check bills against fee schedules and follow up on discrepancies
• maintain records and assist with clerical tasks.
