Job overview
The Scuba Diver role is an onsite, part-time position in the Houston, TX area, paying $16–$20 per hour. The diver supports instructors and students during simulator exercises. The diver’s primary purpose is to maintain student safety throughout each exercise, follow established procedures, and respond to hazards or emergencies. The role also supports equipment handling and post-exercise cleanup.
What you'll do
- Follow simulator egress and safety procedures
- check equipment and air supply before dives
- identify and report hazards
- maintain required diver positions around the simulator
- assist instructors and students before, during, and after exercises
- remain prepared to assist in emergencies, provide qualified medical assistance, administer oxygen, and activate EMS when required
- assist with simulator window or door removal and retrieval when necessary
- complete post-exercise equipment storage and cleanup.
