The Offset Web Head Pressman role is onsite in Taylor, MI. Compensation is $25–$28 per hour, depending on experience. Apex Placement and Consulting is recruiting for a client producing publications and other printed materials. The pressman leads and operates a commercial web offset press to produce quality printed materials. The role coordinates press setup and production, supports the press crew, troubleshoots equipment and print issues, and maintains production, quality, and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Lead press setup, makeready, registration, color control, ink-water balance, web tension, folder setup, and production runs
• maintain print quality and minimize waste and downtime
• direct and train press crew
• coordinate production priorities and shift handoffs
• troubleshoot press and folding issues
• review job tickets and specifications
• maintain production records
• perform routine press maintenance.
