The Directional Drill Operator, Telecommunications role is onsite in Plover, Wisconsin. Compensation is $25–$35 per hour, depending on experience. TAK Broadband builds fiber broadband networks and connects communities to digital opportunities. The operator completes assigned drilling projects and supports fiber and coax placement work. The role also involves maintaining equipment, reviewing field designs, documenting work, and completing restoration and cleanup while prioritizing safety around utilities and on job sites.

What you'll do

• Operate drilling equipment
• drill in standard and high-risk areas with live utilities
• maintain knowledge of utility depths and placements
• maintain vehicles, equipment, and tools
• review field designs and report discrepancies
• document work, including pothole and bore logs
• perform conduit splicing, vault or pedestal placement, fiber/coax placement, restoration, and cleanup as needed.

Why this role

Three or more years of directional drilling experience is required. Class A CDL is preferred. The role may require work outside business hours, overtime, holidays, evenings, and weekends; daily travel is required by the posting.
