The Activities Assistant, Skilled Nursing role is onsite in Falls Church, VA, with pay of $20–$25 per hour. The schedule is 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, plus every other third weekend of the month. The role supports residents and patients at Vierra Falls Church Health & Rehabilitation, a community focused on providing a health and rehabilitation experience. The assistant helps plan and conduct activities that support residents’ physical, social, and mental well-being. By learning residents’ preferences, facilitating participation, documenting attendance and responses, and reporting concerns, the role contributes to individualized activity programming.

What you'll do

• Assist the Activities Director with the monthly activity calendar
• interview residents or family members about activity preferences
• coordinate residents’ access to activities
• assist with scheduled activities
• document attendance and activity progress notes
• observe and report changes in mood, behavior, or participation
• involve residents and families in activity planning when possible
• conduct in-room one-on-one activities
• coordinate offsite trips and transportation when necessary
• coordinate activity needs with other departments
• assist with Resident/Family Council meetings as indicated.
