The Registered Dietitian — Per Diem role is onsite in Moses Lake, Washington. Compensation is not specified; the posting offers an additional 15% differential to base wage in lieu of benefits. The role supports Samaritan Healthcare’s Nutrition Services and its mission to serve as a trusted regional healthcare partner. The dietitian plans and conducts inpatient nutrition screening and assessment, provides nutrition and diet education, and supports the nutritional care of patients identified at risk. The role works with physicians and Nutrition Services staff to meet patient needs and contributes to staff education, documentation, and community nutrition support.

What you'll do

• Conduct inpatient nutrition screening and assessments within required timeframes
• support patients with food preferences and menu selections
• provide education about special diets
• apply Nutrition Care Practice Guidelines
• modify menus and clarify diets for Nutrition Services staff
• update diet handouts
• conduct staff in-services as requested
• document nutrition information in medical charts
• help orient new Diet Technicians and Dietitians
• serve as a resource for community nutrition questions and talks.

Why this role

Per diem position with variable weekly hours; Washington State Certified Dietitian status and a Washington State Food Handlers permit are required. Basic Life Support Heartsaver level must be completed within three months of hire; Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics registration or RD eligibility is required.
