The Teacher Assistant I role is an onsite, full-time position based in Paramount, California. Pay is $21.57–$22.70 per hour. The role supports children’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development through classroom activities, curriculum implementation, developmental observation, and family engagement. It also helps integrate health, nutrition, social-service, and mental-health resources into the learning environment.

What you'll do

• Implement curriculum and plan individual and group activities
• support parent involvement
• coordinate with the co-teacher and Family Advocate
• integrate Head Start services into classroom learning
• maintain classroom and child records
• observe, screen, and assess developmental levels
• provide a culturally responsive and safe learning environment.
