The Maintenance Technician — Capacitor Manufacturing role is onsite in Tucson, AZ. Compensation is $25 to $30 per hour. The technician supports the wound-film capacitor line, including equipment used to build capacitors for Xcimer’s pulsed-power laser drivers. Xcimer’s mission is to deploy fusion power plants to advance global decarbonization. The role exists to keep production equipment safe, reliable, and available by responding to breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, documenting work, and supporting reliability improvements. This helps limit manufacturing downtime and maintain production quality.

What you'll do

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and production issues
• troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, vacuum, thermal, and electromechanical systems
• prioritize vacuum drying and impregnation systems
• perform scheduled preventive maintenance and inspections
• document maintenance and repairs in Boltline
• support root-cause investigations and corrective actions
• assist with equipment installation, commissioning, relocation, modification, and upgrades
• maintain spare-parts inventories, tools, and work areas
• follow LOTO, electrical, chemical, PPE, and other safety requirements
• verify capacitors and high-voltage equipment are discharged and grounded before work.
