The Senior Acquisition Lead — MILSATCOM Systems role is onsite in El Segundo, CA, with an annual salary of $162,000–$190,000. The role joins Astrion’s MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test team, supporting the U.S. Space Force’s Space Systems Command. The role provides senior acquisition expertise to help government leaders shape strategies, guide source selections, manage program risks, and execute next-generation satellite communications programs. It contributes through acquisition planning, contracting and budget guidance, program analysis, and leadership communications.

What you'll do

• Advise government program managers and senior Space Force leaders on acquisition strategies, contracting, and budgeting
• provide software and space system acquisition expertise, including classified ACAT programs
• develop and coordinate Defense Acquisition Board, source selection, and solicitation documentation
• lead and mentor acquisition and systems engineering professionals
• conduct schedule management, risk assessments, and business case analyses
• prepare briefings, reports, and strategic communications
• identify program execution challenges and recommend solutions.
