The Maintenance Mechanic role is onsite in Cortland, NY, with an hourly range of $31–$37. The D2 shift runs 6:00 a.m.–6:30 p.m. Byrne is a Central New York dairy company with a manufacturing facility in Cortlandville. The mechanic maintains production equipment and facility systems to reduce downtime and support continuous dairy processing. The work includes preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, and maintenance documentation coordinated with production teams.

What you'll do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on dairy processing and packaging equipment
• diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
• troubleshoot PLCs, motor controls, and automated systems
• install, calibrate, and maintain instrumentation and controls
• inspect facility infrastructure including steam, compressed air, refrigeration, and water treatment systems
• maintain work orders and equipment histories in CMMS
• coordinate repairs with production teams.
