Cybersecurity Engineer — Information Systems Security

Compensation is $0 per year. The Cybersecurity Engineer role is onsite in Fort Meade, MD. Nortex Cyber Solutions seeks to support security authorization, assessment, and continuous monitoring of mission-critical information systems. The engineer supports systems through the Risk Management Framework lifecycle, maintaining authorization evidence, assessing security controls and vulnerabilities, and coordinating remediation with technical teams. The work helps ensure systems meet applicable security requirements and maintain authorization in classified environments.

What you'll do

• Support the RMF lifecycle
• develop and maintain authorization packages and evidence
• apply NIST SP 800-53 and DoDI 8510.01 controls
• use eMASS and/or Xacta
• scope and conduct security assessments
• support IATTs
• evaluate configurations against DISA STIGs and CIS Benchmarks
• analyze vulnerability scans and track remediation
• support continuous monitoring and automation
• communicate risks and findings.
