Through patient assessment, care planning, preparation, and coordination with surgeons and staff, the role supports continuity and quality of care before, during, and after procedures.

What you'll do

• Provide perioperative care in procedure, operating, and recovery rooms
• prepare rooms and ensure supplies and equipment are available
• develop and implement surgical patient care plans
• assess patients before and after surgery
• communicate with patients and healthcare professionals
• maintain surgical equipment and supplies
• apply aseptic and sterile techniques
• prepare and position patients
• update patient files and medical records
• follow health and safety standards.
