What you'll do

• Drill and tap holes in steel components using shop equipment and hand tools
• interpret shop drawings, cut lists, and work orders
• set up workpieces with clamps and fixtures
• select appropriate bits, taps, speeds, and feeds
• deburr and clean parts
• inspect accuracy and thread engagement
• perform routine machine checks and basic preventive maintenance
• maintain a safe work area
• and communicate defects or discrepancies.
