Cash Accountant

The Cash Accountant role is onsite in Cape Girardeau, MO. Compensation is $55,000 per year. The position works with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, the Finance Manager, banks, and Group Treasury to maintain cash records and support company cash management. The role safeguards company funds and supports accurate financial reporting by managing cash activity, reconciling bank and ERP records, coordinating authorized payments, and monitoring cash movements against forecasts. Timely investigation and resolution of discrepancies help maintain reliable cash controls.

What you'll do

• Manage petty cash receipts and disbursements and maintain cash journals and supporting records
• count cash and investigate differences
• receive, issue, and deposit checks and maintain payment-instrument registers
• coordinate bank account administration and maintain account and signatory documentation
• reconcile bank statements to cash records and ERP balances daily and complete monthly reconciliations
• prepare approved payment documentation and track payment status
• monitor and record bank receipts
• prepare cash forecasts, compare actual movements with forecasts, and report variances or potential funding shortfalls
• support month-end close, reporting, and audits.

Why this role

A bachelor's degree or above in accounting, finance, or a related field is required. Cash accounting, treasury, or similar experience is preferred; SAP experience and Chinese communication skills are also preferred.
