WIC Dietitian

Job overview

The WIC Dietitian role is based at WIC offices in Randolph and Jay Counties, Indiana, with travel within those counties required up to 40%. Compensation is not specified. Meridian Health Services’ mission is to expand access to whole-person healthcare in underserved communities. The dietitian provides nutrition assessment, education, counseling, referrals, and food prescriptions for WIC clients, including pregnant, postpartum, and breastfeeding clients. The role supports the Indiana WIC program through client-centered services, accurate documentation, and community partnerships.

What you'll do

• Complete nutrition assessments and provide tailored nutrition education, referrals, and individual counseling
• support breastfeeding through education and support within the role’s scope
• lead group education classes
• create food prescriptions and schedule appointments in INWIC MIS
• document assessments, education, counseling, and referrals
• maintain client confidentiality and follow Indiana WIC policies.

Why this role

Schedule is Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in Randolph County and Tuesday and Friday in Jay County, generally 9:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; the first Tuesday and second Monday are 11:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Travel within the counties is required up to 40%.
