Job overview

The Licensed Pharmacist role is onsite in Elizabethtown, KY, and pays $60–$65 per hour. The pharmacist supports SpecialtyRx’s long-term care pharmacy services for long-term care facilities and assisted living communities. The pharmacist reviews medication orders, oversees accurate dispensing and labeling, communicates with care teams, and resolves medication-related questions to support safe and appropriate medication therapy for residents.

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness, dosage, interactions, and administration
• ensure medicines are correctly supplied and labeled
• communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and healthcare team members
• supervise medicine preparation
• recommend therapy changes when necessary
• investigate medication queries
• maintain customer clinical databases.

Why this role

The overnight schedule includes rotating three 12-hour shifts and four 10-hour shifts, or four 10-hour shifts, with every other weekend noted for one rotation. An active Kentucky Board of Pharmacy license is required.
