Paralegal and Case Manager Specialist

The Paralegal and Case Manager Specialist role is onsite in Astoria, NY; compensation is $34 per hour. HANAC’s Legal Victim & Witness Program provides legal and case-management support to people navigating civil, criminal, and immigration systems. The specialist supports the program attorney and director by managing client cases, preparing legal documents, coordinating with clients and agencies, and maintaining confidential records and program compliance.

What you'll do

• Manage assigned cases from intake through resolution
• maintain confidential records and track deadlines and outcomes in CLIO and Cerenade
• draft and assemble legal documents and filing packages under attorney supervision
• conduct legal research
• travel to courts, police precincts, and government agencies for filings and hearings
• coordinate with clients, law enforcement, courts, service providers, and interpreters
• ensure confidentiality and program reporting compliance.
