This role is responsible for providing comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients, including assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, and developing nutrition support recommendations to aid in patient recovery and well-being.

What you'll do

• Provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients.
• Performs malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, and diet education.
• Provides nutrition support recommendations.
• Consults with physicians and allied health professionals regarding patients' nutritional statuses.
• Formulates nutrition assessment, evaluation, and follow-up plans.
• Participates in clinical rounds and department meetings.
• Consults in/outpatients on diet rationale for self-management.
• Must be flexible to cross-cover and train in all areas including Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics.
• Provides staff relief and cross-coverage.
• Reviews annual literature pertinent to area(s) of responsibility and presents to peers.
• Performs formal professional presentations.
• Attends pertinent meetings to enhance clinical practice.
• Maintains current CDR credentials and DC Licensure.
• Holds current membership to professional organization.
• Participates in licensing surveys.
• Assumes other appropriate duties.
