Hygiene Assistant

The Hygiene Assistant role is onsite in Canandaigua, NY, with pay of $18.00–$20.00 per hour. Finger Lakes Dental Care’s hygiene team works to provide a welcoming patient experience and keep appointments moving smoothly. The assistant supports hygienists and doctors by preparing and maintaining treatment rooms, helping with charting and other clinical needs as directed, and coordinating patient flow. X-rays, patient histories, and vital signs are handled when trained, authorized, or qualified.

What you'll do

• Welcome patients and escort them to the hygiene room
• prepare operatories, instruments, and supplies
• assist hygienists with charting and documentation as directed
• take dental X-rays when trained and authorized
• assist with patient histories and vital signs when qualified
• clean and disinfect rooms between patients
• sterilize instruments according to infection-control procedures
• monitor supplies
• help coordinate follow-up hygiene appointments.
