Technical Production Manager

The Technical Production Manager role is onsite in Charlotte, NC, with pay of $22.45–$30.80 per hour. Blumenthal Arts presents and produces arts and entertainment experiences and supports access to arts programs in the Charlotte community. The manager oversees assigned events, theatrical systems, and technical crews to support safe, efficient stage and backstage operations. The role combines hands-on technical leadership with event coordination, budgeting, equipment planning, crew supervision, and administrative reporting.

What you'll do

• Supervise stage and technical crews and oversee stage, sound, and lighting equipment
• manage theatrical fly, electrical, audio, video, and rigging systems
• design, source, install, inventory, operate, and service equipment systems
• meet with clients, vendors, and departments to discuss event requirements
• assist with budgets, space design, equipment use, labor needs, schedules, and contract review
• support technical needs across theaters and campuses
• ensure policy, regulatory, quality, and safety compliance
• complete reports, payroll records, contracts, rider reviews, and related paperwork.
