The Adjunct Barbering Instructor role is onsite at the Boones Creek Extension Campus in Tennessee. Pay is $40 per hour, and the schedule is part-time, Monday through Thursday from 3:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., up to 30 hours per week. The instructor supports the Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton Barbering program. The instructor teaches barbering theory and practical skills, supervises hands-on learning, and evaluates student progress. This work prepares students with technical skills and professional knowledge to complete the program and meet state licensure requirements.

What you'll do

• Teach barbering theory and practical skills, including haircutting, shaving, beard design, chemical services, sanitation, safety, and state board preparation
• develop lesson plans aligned with curriculum and state requirements
• demonstrate and supervise techniques in a lab or clinic
• assess student performance through written, practical, and competency-based evaluations
• maintain attendance, grades, and documentation
• ensure safety, sanitation, and infection-control standards
• provide academic guidance
• attend faculty meetings, professional development, and training
• maintain knowledge of industry practices and licensure requirements.
