Education Director

The Education Director role is onsite in Oakland, CA. Pay is $52,000–$60,000 per year. The position is in the Programs department and reports to the Branch Director at the Boys & Girls Club of Oakland. The role exists to lead supplementary education and educational enhancement programs that support youth development outcomes. It contributes by maintaining program quality and safety, supervising staff and volunteers, managing budgets and records, and building relationships that strengthen youth participation and community partnerships.

What you'll do

• Plan and oversee supplementary education programs
• establish objectives aligned with organizational goals
• oversee daily activities and instruction
• evaluate programs for member needs and cultural diversity
• maintain safe program environments
• monitor expenses and records
• support special events and cross-department programs
• direct and support staff and volunteers
• promote programs and build relationships with families, schools, and community partners
• represent the organization at school and community events.
